Currently playing: Klaxons

I fell in to a deep passionate love with Klaxons music back in 2007 when they released their infamous catchy single 'Golden Skans'. Their unique blend of indie rock, nu psychedelia and odd space references fused a perfect match-made in heaven nebula. The most captivating thing about Klaxons is that unlike most indie bands is that they do craft great songs. Winning the Mercury music prize in 2007 for debut LP 'Myths of the Near Future' is a credit to the fact they created a solid piece of work even when no one understood their sound. I used to spend hours decoding the lyrics in the album sleeve which led me on to discovering some fascinating books. (Links for my fellow nerds: As above so below, Gravity's Rainbow & Magick Without Tears). I have a feeling Klaxons are cooking up something special for their third LP, till I hear an official release I stay rotating the first two. Listen below.
