Falling In love Again

Dear dreamer,

I hope you feel good about yourself today. I hope you find the courage to face the things that trouble you. I hope you keep working towards your greater good. I hope you continue to fall in love in with the things close to your heart regardless of what others think or say.

Yours sincerely
Z

You do something to me

Sometimes I neglect my personal needs and I end up wondering why I'm so miserable. I remember there's always an opportunity to apologise and amends with the self. Reclaim forgotten identities and seek new adventures, even if it happens while you're alone do it anyway.

I'll always be there for you my future love.

The thing I love the most about portraiture is that it gives the subject the power to re-imagine the self through image. You can almost see yourself being thrusted into unknown dimension of time. Neither past or present, somewhere beyond the here and now.

Free As A Bird

'You should've brought your camera, you could've taken some great shots from up here' he said. Luckily I had my phone.

Can I live?

Set it off (1996)

All I wanna do is make beautiful sincere art ya feel me? I want to create all the things I desire to see. I want to actualise all my dreams and ideas. I don't want have to beg the rich white people for money to make my shit happen, although i am grateful to the ones who have given me funds and great opportunities. I want to do it my way.  I don't want to have to justify to 'people in charge' why my films etc are about  BLACK PEOPLE, BLACK WOMEN, BLACK YOUTH, BLACK LIFE, BROWN GIRLS, STORIES OF THE MARGINALISED ETC. Why the fuck should they make me feel like there is no audience for these stories? I'm sick of these glass ceilings and all this industry bs. I just want things to work out the way I want them to.
